    Got bored in the middle
I was so excited in the beginning of the movie it looked like well written unexpected sci-fi thriller with intriguing concept, but it went downhill so quickly. From the middle of the movie I started to got bored, everything started to develop very slowly and it was getting repetitive at some points, where it was no need for that and the movie just got longer for no reason. And in the end it looked that they were running out of time, because there was a lot of things happening in the end of the movie... To sum up - not much character development, strange plot line turns, no time balance in storyline the and absurdly ending.

    Promising plot with disappointing screenplay
The plot delivers rich material for a discussion on human feelings and how science could control them. However the movie basically floods the audience with scenes that do not dig deep enough into the characters' minds. As a consequence it fails to explore the discussion proposed by the movie itself. This becomes particularly evident when Chris Hemsworth's character has to verbally explain in one of the last scenes what was actually going on in the prison.

Apart from that, Chris Hemsworth had a strong performance, just as Miles Teller. Production design is decent - despite the scenarios being rather simple, it does convey an idea of modernity and succeeds in placing a high-tech facility in an unusual landscape (without white walls everywhere and people wearing lab coats for example). It is not a great movie, but worth watching.

    Mediocre film
I guess I expected more from Chris Hemsworth to be honest. The film was ok, a unique storyline (that I haven't seen before anyway) but the film was kind of very flat from the start. No suspense. It just plodded along.

Personally, I saw a bit of Ghostbusters 2016 in Hemsworth's performance. There were bits where he seemed a bit folly for a serious drama.

I watched all of the film, so I guess that says something, but will I be recommending it to my friends.... er no.

Didn't hate it, enjoyed it actually. Just not that much.

They could have done so much more with this storyline, made it more suspenseful, less 'matter of fact'. Even the ending lacked the action it could have had.

If you're thinking of watching it, then do. Make up your own mind.

    Bloody brilliant
Loved it from start to finish. Forget all concepts of normality, take it for the story that it is. Too many people expect to much reality from movies, but sometimes it is just that, a story to enjoy, so sit back and enjoy. Chris Hemsworth plays a his role well. Compassionate and caring, and then as the plot thickens, his character flawlessly changes. Miles Teller, plays his role with Compassion and you find you do actually care about him and Jurnee Smollett, who you find yourself fully sympathising with. Both are stunning. Mark Paguio plays his role well. It's clear from the outset that he does not agree with the experiments. Overall... very watch and enjoyable.

Can I get a drug to make me forget... this film.
An intriguing concept that quickly stalls and limps to an unsatisfying end. Hemsworth just comes off as goofy and the lack of chemistry between the other leads is evident. Teller is reliable if uncharismatic. Smollett Is stuck in a role that signposts the outcome and Paguio looks as bewildered as the audience.

Based on a short story this suffers from an over generous runtime and doesn't have the fuel to finish the journey.

Feels like this would've benefitted from a rewrite and tv series format - nothing here suggests this should be a film with the existing plotline.

One additional star for using Supertramp at the start.
