    Collateral Bombardment
Be warned, this film and its story is quite sad. Collateral damage during war is almost unavoidable, and has to be one of the absolute worst things about war. Innocent lives lost due to human error and misidentified targets is something that has happened far too much in history, and this is a heartbreaking example of it.

The film balances roughly four interconnected narratives fairly well, and is very well acted by all, especially the children. From what I've seen, the Danes have made some real quality films. The effects were also superb.

A well suited film for my Remembrance Day viewing this year.

    The horrors of war
From the moment the film starts you are authentically transported back into Copenhagen 1945. Almost immediately 3 young women and their taxi driver are slain by a strafing aircraft. Was that an Allied plane?

The boy who witnesses the events proceeds to become mute due to the horrors witnessed and soon starts this brief tale of 3 children who attend the French School, a school run by Nuns.

Quickly piecing together life in the city we are shown brief snapshots of the lives of various citizens. Murder on the streets, torture interrogations, a family of a HIPO(Danish auxiliary police corps, established by the German Gestapo) - disowning him and finally, a Nun losing her religion.

In Britain, at the request of the Danish resistance, an audacious.bombing mission is planned of the Gestapo Headquarters. The RAF know prisoners are kept there in the roof as a human shield, yet the collateral damage is reluctantly accepted. The actual collateral damage caused is a tragic loss of life that is a true reminder that "victory" over a military always comes with an often forgotten and faceless cost.

The acting is on point, the scenes periodically accurate and the story compelling. The fact that this is based on a true story and yet so close (6 weeks) from the end of the war in Europe makes it somehow even more tragic. Soon celebrations for VE Day would leave this regretful incident often untold and dare I say forgotten. We did not cover ourselves in glory on this occasion. An important reminder of the cost of war and a well made film.

BEST AFTER EFFECT OF WAR MOVIE EVER.
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST WAR MOVIE EVER MADE.

I was in tears when it ended. It is such a real and sad movie.

Definetely not for the faint hearted. Wars have such a deep impact on our life. And if kids die in war its more depressing.

This movie left such a sad remarks on the viewer. I am unable to describe using words, what this movie is. Its basically about an air-strike by British military but the catch here is, the target was wrong. Yap. You read it correctly. There were about to strike in a warehouse but they targetted a church school full of kids.

The emotions captured are high and will definetely will keep you by the end of this video. This movie reaches the level of Scchindler's list and sort. I am sure this will be a classic in future course of time.

The scenes of boy capturing names and conveying to a theatre of parents desperately waiting for the news of their sons/daughter breaks a million heart and its captured in the best way. My throat was dry and I couldn't watch it entirely so I paused and completed it the next day.

    Extraordinary
What a sad, powerful film to watch. Prepare to be shocked and moved. Everything here is viewed through a prism of desperate realism. The acting is superb.
