Vikramaditya, a world-renowned palmist, believes love does not exist in his stars, until he meets Prerana. But when destiny tries to pull them apart, will love prevail?
At its core, "Pushpa" is a character-driven narrative that follows the journey of the titular character, Pushpa Raj, played with unparalleled intensity by Allu Arjun. The film begins by establishing Pushpa's humble origins and his ascent in the ruthless world of red sandalwood smuggling. Arjun's portrayal of Pushpa is a tour de force, capturing the nuances of a complex character torn between morality and survival.
The screenplay, penned by Sukumar, is a masterclass in storytelling. The narrative unfolds organically, blending moments of tension with flashes of dark humor. The film's pacing is deliberate, allowing the audience to delve into the psyche of the characters and understand the intricacies of their relationships. The dialogues, delivered with finesse by the cast, are sharp and memorable, adding depth to the narrative.
One of the film's standout aspects is its technical brilliance.
gaganjosan-47195 - 14 September 2022 Seriously, who financed this crap? I can't believe they invested so much money in this crap. Set in 80's Florence, Italy, but all the doctors in the movie are Hindi speaking Indians. Everyone in the movie looks like photoshopped, especially Prabhas. It seems that movie was shot with chinese oppo or vivo phones with high face smoothness and tons of facial filters. There is no story in the movie. Acting is very bad. I finished 2 hour long movie in just 25 mins. Because rest of the movie is just nonsense scene of illogical dialogues and forced comic moments. Imdb should add 0 star rating and a special category for garbage movies like this. Unfortunately, 1 star is minimum that I can give it here. I hope other people see movie rating before they waste their valuable time on these kind of garbage.
madanmarwah - 5 July 2022 Attractive visuals but slow with overdose of romance and sentiment This movie has got three things romance, romance and some more romance. The wooing by the hero goes on and on for the entire duration and naturally it gets tiresome for the audience who find it boring because of the dreadfully slow pace of the movie. In the initial part all romantic stories are like fresh air and the story is required to take over from there but in this movie it just doesn't happen. The wooing full of saccharine continues till the last scenes. The movie is designed for the chronic romantic person. The hero is an established palm reader and knowing his fate he only wants a " flirtationship" and not a relationship with a girl and he is brazen enough to say this. The plot is about love vs destiny and at one point the hero leaves it to serendipity.
Director Radha Krishna Kumar has made a visually delightful movie and the backdrop is Italy of the 70s.. He has made excellent use of the camera in both the conventional and unconventional way. In the latter style, the taking of the shot where the heroine leans out of a moving train is done very attractively with the camera going through 360 degrees. ( A disclaimer to the young ones not to imitate this would be in order). The other scenes both indoors and outdoors are very well done. However one wishes that some more attention was focused on the script to make an absorbing narrative. Both Prabhas and Pooja Hegde play the love sick couple to the hilt and flow along in a stereotyped manner. They definitely make an attractive couple but are handicapped by the absence of a strong script.
