    Trying way too hard
This movie is trying way too. That said, the 12 to 17 demographic probably eats it up. I'm a middle-aged woman so this film didn't quite do it for me. The whole thing was just silly. If I'm going to watch a movie in this genre, I'd rather rewatch Ghost with Patrick swayze and Demi moore, pottery wheel and all. Or Sixth Sense! To me the Sixth Sense is a much more moving love story than this adolescent garbage. I mean Joey King is a decent actor but this movie really doesn't showcase her talent. The whole thing was just lacking. Don't bother. Give it a miss. There are much better ghost love stories out there.

Mediocre drama with elements of romance
This was fine. I think it probably holds more weight if you watch it while you are still young--a lot of the emotion in the movie comes from that viewpoint teenagers have where it feels like your current romantic relationship is the only thing that matters. But it had its moments. I think Joey King makes a lot of movies more watchable than they otherwise would be, because her performances often carry weak stories. I won't recommend it to anyone I know, but if you are 17 or younger and you enjoy weepy YA fiction, this may satisfy you. Personally, I think I will struggle to remember ever seeing this movie after a few weeks have passed.

    It's an ok movie
It kind of wafts along without much purpose or substance. The only reason it's a compelling watch is because you want to see where it's going. It doesn't really go anywhere in particular. It's more of a constant mood that is portrayed. A sort of love story in some ways.

Achingly Slow, blink & miss the "In Between"
Betty Blue is one of my favourite love stories so its nice to have a nod to it in this movie.

Its nice to show kids what Film is all about but it is dead.

    Ditto with the Audio Cassettes.

    And the Dated Music.

The pinhole camera at least has some relevance still.

Maybe this is designed to appeal to the older generation which is annoying as the future is much better than the past ever was.

The Time Line keeps skipping back and forth but it just makes it annoying.

Even in the Deepest Grief, i would not trash the one thing that makes me whole.

The Astral photos getting trashed don't make sense & are not explained.

Anyone that develops all the time would never allow a print to sit in developer too long and fixing would not cause over exposure. So maybe its spiritual but its never explained which is annoying.

Yes the photos portrayed are beautiful, no they don't need people, photography is about framing, if you can frame Not People, you don't have to learn how to frame people.

Ultimately This "In Between" Had Very Very Little to offer

The Plot is Forgettable The sound is stuck in the past The Photography is ok The Acting is ok

    The Plot is Boring 😴
