The worst romantic movie I've ever watched
Even I watch romantic movies very rarely, my first impression from trailer of this movie were very positive- I was expecting psychodrama with a bit of a chemistry between the professor and his student, also the trailer and concept of the movie reminded me of Tom Stoppard's drama Arcadia, which really tuned me to watch the movie. But well, I was very disappointed in the end. Way too long, empty monologues of main character Cairo, absurdic, friendly behaviour of professors towards students, foolish ambitions to reduce characters and scenes to minimum to create an unique cinematic and sort of theatrical experience made this movie absolutely downfall. Kinda gave me a weird realistical/existentional parody of The Twilight movies vibe. I am really sorry for Martin Freeman to damage his reputation by this ,,something''.

    Enjoyable writing of the story
The movie, is amazing, when you see it in depth and are capable of understanding each move, thought, and choice made, you can truly understand it's depth.

It's been a while since I've seen this good a writing for a movie and i enjoyed it thurally, every moment was well polted.

For the most part, i personally think it's a great movie and would enjoy it thurally if i watched it again.

And for those who didn't see what i saw, maybe you need a few more perspectives to see the movie in it's fullest, being Young, old, and depressed due to fear of failure, seems to give a good perspective on this one.

    Decent film
Of course I heard of this movie after watching everyone lose their mind about the age gap and of course it got me thinking about other movies with similar and controversial age gaps that I have seen (Leon the professional, the fifth element etc) anyways, I digress... to me anyways this movie was nowhere near as bad as everyone is making it out to be. I mean it's not like I can't see why it has made people uncomfortable (the age gap and subject material with it). You will NOT like it if that is too graphic or explicit I mean SPOILER ALERT: that essay our lead writes was something else. However, film itself has acting IMO that is pretty good and (for the most part) has a solid atmospheric tone to it .
