    Buried Sleeper
This film delivered a strong storyline and great performances from Daisy Ridley and Ben Mendelsohn. It does a great job of introducing us to a new and interesting world and familial dynamic that tracks and builds as the plot goes on. I was surprised by how elevated the production value was and the overall cast for an independent shined. There was a lot of tension and a lot twists that worked to keep me off balance just enough to get to the payoff. Daisy Ridley proves she's a versatile talent that can inhibit character and breathe life into a layered story. She does great work toeing the line between sparse reservation and raw vulnerability.

    A passionate suspense... Wonderful...
A woman seeks revenge against a man, known as "Swamp King", who kidnapped her mother for 12 years. Helena lives a seemingly ordinary life alongside her husband and daughter, however, she keeps a dark secret: she is the daughter of a serial killer known as the Swamp King. Her father kept her captive in a swamp for 12 years and now she has just escaped from prison. After a lifetime of trying to escape her past, she is forced to face her fears to protect her daughter.

Very, very intriguing... Based on a fictional romance book, but so intense that I researched it to see if it was based on real events... Very good, a great development, we spent the entire film in anticipation, suspense, doubt and anguish, everything in the right measure, until the appearance of the father, who does not disappoint... The Twist plot at the beginning is magnificently perfect, unexpected and surprising... A passionate suspense... Wonderful...

New aged "Star Wars" Mini Clash
Daisy Ridley and Ben Mendelsohn lived in separate Star Wars universes, but now the clash is inevitable and they meet in a film, based on a famous literature novel. This story demonstrated childhood scars and adulthood way of coping with those scars. It could have been a lot more, but stays in safe waters.

A lot of ideas are not developed properly. The southern swampy area is not a large part of the movie as its name hints. The daddy issues could have been developed in a better way and don't get their share cut of the movie and the pace of the movie is too slow to handle, but it still corresponds with a slow burner quality - so its forgiven.

The biggest problem is that this story has a large potential too dig deep into the souls of kidnapper and kidnaped persons and it doesn't do it. It leans heavily on drama and the thriller tension elements instead of building a true dramatic story and evolve into a big deal - it stays safe and doesn't challenge the genre.

Daisy Ridley and Ben Mendelsohn performs properly and get the job done without stretching too much. The script plays it safe and all of the other elements of the movie seem like they try not to brake or shake any boundaries of the genre. If not the potential, it wasn't so disappointing to get such a movie that neglects its aspirations.

But still it's a great movie, that worth your time and though it could have been twenty minutes shorter, it still gets the job done, interesting and well crafted for (almost) the entire runtime - all of this is without knowing its full Book potential, of course.
