    Don't waste your time
I have seen a few of GR's movies and this is by far the worst ever. Maybe I had high expectations based on previous movies being out there, but funny with Jason or Brad playing a lead and carrying it off. The girl from Parks and Recreation plays the same character she was in PR. It was annoying then and in the movie. The plot of the movie seems to be all over the place. Are they trying to start a series with this character? Please don't. The best character was probably JJ who wasn't just good with dogs. There are enough spinoffs of James Bond and even movies that Jason has done with GR and on his own.

Will the real Guy Ritchie please stand up
It really didn't feel like a true Ritchie film. It had all of the calling cards of what one would expect but somehow fell flat. It felt like an imposter came in, forged something passible as a Guy Ritchie film that the masses were sure to enjoy but true enthusiasts would question its authenticity within the first 15 minutes. It had too much glitz & glam and way too little of the Guy grit we love. I was looking forward to the great cast and I just didn't feel like any of them were used to their full potential. I could watch Snatch and Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, and even The Gentleman over and over again, this one I will only watch the once. I know Guy Ritchie has a habit of doing a movie for him and a movie for the studio and a movie for him and a movie for the studio...I think a little too much of "the studio" rubbed off on this one.

I can't believe this is a Guy Ritchie film
I spent most of this film thinking, "there's not one original idea in this whole film." Mostly style over substance and flash over content. Jason Statham was once again acting like Jason Statham. Hugh Grant was good, but had the EXACT SAME persona & acting as in "The Gentlemen," and everyone else just looked too like they were 'acting.' If you want to use up a night, it's fine to watch but don't expect to be excited or thrilled. Full of trite storylines and predictable outcomes and sequences, this was a bad film from start to finish.

Finally, when I came to IMDB and saw that Guy Ritchie directed this, it became all the more baffling.

Look I'm sure many will like it because it has the typical schtick and it's watchable, it's also a film that's been made a thousand times before so no more than 5 stars out of 10 on this one.

    Not one of Ritchie's best
This would be a "straight to DVD" if not for Guy Ritchie. As a Ritchie-fan i was quite disappointed walking home from the theatre. I miss the dialogue Guy Ritchie is known for. The scence of black humor we know from other Guy Ritchie movies is also missing.

Hugh Grant saves the day with his performance, but we also see terrible acting from Josh Hartnett among others. Statham is Statham, nothing more, nothing less.

Don't spend your money watching this film in theatres. In a few weeks, it will probably be available on Netflix and as a tuesday evening timekiller it's probably worth watching. Be better next time Guy, we know that you could do better.

As good as action films come
I'm not sure anyone is putting out more consistently entertaining films year in, year out than Guy Ritchie. His name being attached to a film is almost a guarantee of a good time. 'Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre' is no exception. This was a blast from start to finish.

The whole cast of this movie is fantastic, however I have to make two special mentions. Hugh Grant once again kills it. Ritchie knows how to get every drop of comedy gold out of that man. Secondly, this is the best work I've seen from Aubrey Plaza. It was a slightly different role to which we've seen her in in the past (although still an abundance of her trademark dry humour), but she steals every scene she is in and is probably the best thing the film has to offer.

The pace of the film is electric. It kicks into the action almost immediately and never relents. The story is fast-paced and reasonably convoluted in places so you have to have your wits about you. Even if you do miss something though I found it didn't really matter. You could still enjoy the scene in progress and catch up fairly quickly.

This is the first 2023 release I have seen and I suspect 12 months from now I won't have seen many better. From someone who isn't even the biggest fan of the action genre, this is a stone-cold banger. 9/10.
