    A slow moving train wreck
This movie is an absolute disaster. It's nearly unwatchable. It's less of a coherent movie and more of a collection of sketches from 5 - 6 storylines that are almost entirely unrelated. The villain motivations are extremely strange and the character is barely in the movie. Many of the pop culture jokes "for the adults" are either extremely lazy ("There are a lot of milk types these days!", "Card readers at gas stations sure are tricky!", "Retirement is great!") or extremely dated (references to Terminator 2, Spiderman 2 with Tobey Maguire, Dance Dance Revolution to name a few). The ending makes literally no sense at all. And there's basically an entirely separate movie about the minions built within this movie, and honestly that movie would've been more interesting. Most of the characters have become extremely unlikable, and every new character introduced is irritating, pointless, or both. Don't waste your time in the theater. It'll be streaming on Peacock soon enough.

    Weakest Despicable Me sequel ever.
This movie is totally a mess.

It's feels so forced like the minions are getting annoying than ever before since the last film. Despicable Me 3 was totally meh, but this one is all time new low. Once again, this animation studios can do amazing animation, but still end up disappointing with bland and generic stories, basic messages, and forgettable characters. I just hope that this is the last Despicable Me movie because it's so tiring like I want to go to sleep. This is totally wack and abomination. It's one of the weakest Despicable Me movies ever.

I recommended that you don't watch it. Sorry not sorry.

    Where is the DESPICABLE??
This movie is only made for the fans of the original duology and kids, and nothing more. The final scene itself indicated that this franchise is coming to an end and that there's no longer any point in quality storytelling and emotions that drove us in the first two parts, which is sad. The third part was like an unnecessary filler that also had no impact on the story, and now as we go further, it's just filler after filler. This franchise has lost the "Despicable" in its name. In the first movie, Gru was a villain who didn't care about anything except his plans, but when the girls entered his life, his loneliness awakened and he realized what love is. In the second movie, he realizes how unattractive he is and becomes skeptical that he will ever find a true love. But in the third and fourth movies, absolutely nothing. In this film, he becomes slightly despicable because some cockroach villain threatened his life, but there's nothing with emotions nor character. The flow of the film is just a bunch of scenes jumping from one character to another without any development, It feels like the movie lasted 30 minutes instead of 90 minutes, just like Ice Age 5. This film had a few funny jokes and that's it. The only purpose of the MEGA Minions was to appear, be funny, and that's all. They had no impact on the story or the final battle, they seem like a bad copy of the purple Minions to grab as much money from merchandising as possible. All in all, a bad film with nothing new. The best part was the final scene in prison where we see older versions of the villains from previous movies and Dru who appeared for just 2 seconds, and I expected much more from him. I thought about it and in literally 5 minutes came up with a much darker and more tragic story that would win an Oscar, compared to those 5 people who worked on the script, but we have to understand that these films are made exclusively for kids and there shouldn't be any dark or distressing elements, just to be funny and stupid for adults.
