    Great concept but, extremely dragging.
    The Zone of Interest tells the story of Auschwitz head Rudolf Hoss(Christian Friedel), his wife Hedwig(Sandra Huller) & his family. Rudolf & Hedwig aim to give their children the best life possible, while staying in an idyllic house with a beautiful garden, that just so happens to be next to the Auschwitz concentration camp.

    The Zone of Interest is a great film. Director Jonathan Glazer has given us a movie that is thought-provoking & disturbing, when you think that many Nazis & their families shared a wall with concentration camps & could hear the horrific things happening but, just went about their day-to-day activities, just like every other household. The main flaw of the film, is that it moves along at a snail's pace. This movie would have definitely been more impactful & emotional, if they had shown the goings-on of the concentration camp, at least once. Christian Friedel is spectacular as Rudolf Hoss. Sandra Huller is outstanding as Hedwig Hoss. The supporting cast is awe-inspiring. The Zone of Interest is not a must watch. However, it's definitely worth a watch & just keep in mind that it's a slow burn thriller/drama & you won't be disappointed.

    Daily life as you know it...
    What more can be said but to walk through the life of a family and commander living outside the gates of Auschwitz's. This movie invokes your senses from visual to auditory there are two stories in one. Wear headphones allow yourself to hear the immersive horror of the the most "famous" concentration camp of the holocaust. Don't be afraid let yourself take it in- for the mundane of the movie and for the reality of genocide. The question I bring with me is, should Auschwitz's be a famous land mark to visit and preserved for generations to walk through the incinerators that killed thousands? Or should the words of the survivors be all that is left behind. Cinematically this isn't a movie to skip. Movie lovers deserve to carry this title in their memory. My rating is a 4 but my takeaway is a 10.

    A different view about Holocaust
    If what you are expecting is a movie that talks about the atrocities of World War II, this is not the movie, as the movie doesn't show any of the horrors that occurred, but rather shows how the people who committed such horrors where living peacefully. The movie focus on the perspective of the perpetrators by humanizing individuals. Also uses dark humor and stylistic flourishes to detract from the gravity of the subject matter.

    However the nonlinear narrative structure may prove confusing for some viewers, diminishing the emotional resonance of certain scenes.

    Additionally, the film uses silences and screens with colors to create sensations for the viewer.
