Most accurate adaptation and I think its pretty good
Its not perfect but I think its actually really good. It shows all the OG characters and story of the first game, definitely left out lots of things and added things of its own but I think its better than any of the mila jovovitch movies, and feels more grounded. Great camera work and sound design/music, acting is SOLID. Im genuinely upset there's no talk of sequels or continuations of this incarnation of RE. I wish they showed more of wesker, love the actor that played him BUT, they definitely didnt do WESKER well. I think no fault to the actor, but the way he was written was to relatable and normal of a person. In the first game, he's weird and has a slight snobby superiority complex that gets worse as the series goes on. Wasnt present at all, theres disconnect from him and the rest of his team in the games and lore, and for good reason. In this, he felt like barry burton honestly or just a "home boy/homie" where he should be untruthful, suspicious, mysterious and lethal(the best there is). Everyone else was alright, but wesker was very off and wrong. Still enjoyable, good movie.

    Awesome Movie
The ungrateful spoiled little fan boys get it wrong AGAIN! So cynical, for what!? Just so yo can feel like your opinion matter to bash a movie. You see movies for fun, with an open mind and just to relax and kick back. I don't care what anyone says, this has been my favorite Resident Evil movie to date. They did it justice not matter what the cynical kyles think. You all disappoint me. But hey, I can't be mad, because I truly had so much fun watching his one. The thing that gets me upset is those saying if you like this movie you're trash too. That's not true. More power to you if you were able to enjoy this adventure. Stayed pretty cool to the video game and the zombies looked badass as well. The actores stepped up and did well in their roles. I loved it. 7/10 but I'm giving it a 10/10 for all those who exaggerated and gave this movie lesss stars than it deserved. Go cry somewhere else. I had fun and you didn't.

Best resident evil film - but that's not saying much
Per the title it is the best resident evil film to date but that's not saying much given how poor the previous films have been this at least attempts to follow the story of the original games no super powered Alice character here that didn't feature in ANY of the source material here thank goodness.

Frankly it's an odd choice to try and mash RE1&2 together as if they happened concurrently, it doesn't really work and unless you're a fan of the games I can't see much of the film making much sense, they also missed so many opportunities I presume due to budgets but right at the start Jill says "what would be worse being eaten by a snake or a shark" clearly referring to Yawn & Neptune - nice bit of fan service but they don't feature in the film.

It's not a BAD film as such it's just very rushed, was it enjoyable - yeah I think so. Would I recommend it? Well not really no.

    Hot smelly garbage
I was extremely excited to see a more faithful version to the gameplay of the series in this movie. However, that excitement was immediately sucked out when the characters opened their mouths. If it were entirely sound effects and yelling, it would be better than this. Let me just say, I cuss... some say too much. I view it as the salt and pepper of language. When used strategically, it's an art form. When used the way in this movie, you're praying for the town to be nuked as soon as possible. The screenwriter obviously doesn't think much of his audience, or the English language for that matter, by the shear amount of nonsensical swearing in this beautiful movie. And while beautiful to look at, the dialogue immediately sinks any and all hope of being tolerable. You'd swear a 5th grade boy who learned new cuss words over the weekend wrote it. Watch on mute or prepare to be annoyed.

It's okay, but i don't get the cast chosen for the task
It's actually pretty decent. I like it's fairly medium slow work around, while everything goes to hell. It's pretty Resident Evil alike.

I think it's a bold move to have these characters.

Though it's okay overall, i think their attempts to make it funny, it becomes a little comedy alike. I am actually sad to see that, cause it actually is great from a realistic horror point of view.

It maybe needed some more detail about the incident, and build it up a bit differently, and pahaps have the t-virus infected people be a lot more a part of the movie. We simply see too little detail og the city, and it has too much comedy over it.

Too easy deaths of characters that could've been developed a bit more throughout the movie, pahaps dying om their way to the mansion, due to the violence and zombies.

I think they did a great job at the mansion part. It sure follows some in game detail to the point.

    Don't bother
    I really tried.

We really tried but yikes this was so bad we turned it off ten minutes into it and watched reruns of SpongeBob instead.

Character development flaw, some casting flaw, overall flaw. Man-just everything really really failed, flopped and fizzed any hope this movie could have had.

This is not even a review of comparison to the Mila movies but just of the game storyline.

It's easier to fit squares into circles at this point.

This is just embarrassing for everyone involved and I'm sorry you had to go through this.

Just know that some of the actors have completely deleted any trace of association to this movie.

    That says a lot.
