    Plot is a little boring
Animation and style is fantastic, but the plot is a little boring, like a regular plot. It cannot appeal me deeply, like making me feel a lot of impression. Although it involves a little defect, the style make me feel nice and catch my eyes. The background is about student's stuff during school time, major point is about bully and sympathy. I could say the leading lady is so beautiful and so kawaii, I suggest the movie makers can involve some beautiful ending more. Like they got married or indicated the leading characters fall in love finally. Sometimes someone likes a open ending, but sometimes someone wants a perfect ending.

A Masterpiece in animation, nothing comes even remotely close to this
One of those films that changed me as a person

I first watched it when I was in my high school and wasn't aware how it felt like "to grow up", even then I loved it but now when I'm an undergrad student and not many people are there whom I can call friends, this film hit me really hard. I related to Ishida, not for his change from being a bully to redeeming himself but for overcoming guilt from the past and value of having good people around.

Cinematography, Animation, Music, Writing ... everything was pitch perfect. Character development was real and Ishida's growth as a person felt like a personal victory. Easily among my top films of all time.

This is a movie with a unique storyline and a worthwhile premise.
A Silent Voice: The Movie (2016) is a movie that my daughter and I recently watched together on Netflix. The storyline follows a group of children who bully a def girl in elementary school. As they grow up the def girl needs to switch schools and make new friends and the bullies need to deal with the guilt of what they've done. The young man who went hardest on the little girl becomes suicidal and may need to seek forgiveness to save his life.

This movie is directed by Naoko Yamada (Liz and the Blue Bird) and stars Miyu Irino (Spirited Away), Saori Hayami (Demon Slayer: Mugen Train), Aoi Yûki (Kamen Rider: Ghost), Yui Ishikawa (Attack on Titan), Yui Ishikawa (Hunter x Hunter) and Mayu Matsuoka (Shoplifters).

This is a movie with a unique storyline and a worthwhile premise. The characters are entertaining and easy to root for and against. The bullying scenes were rough to watch throughout and may have gone a bit overboard at times; however, it did a good job of driving home the premise. The animation was excellent and does a perfect job of capturing the settings, circumstances and characters.

Overall, this is a worthwhile family movie that is tough to watch, but has a great premise. I would score this an 8/10 and strongly recommend it.

One of the best Anime i have seen
    This was quite good.

Even though its animated it still uses techniques as if it was filmed. I noticed characters out of focus.

    Beautifully animated, at times bleak.

A deaf girl starts at a school and is bullied by this guy. She then leaves the school.

We then jump a few years into the future, the characters are about 10,11 then they are around 17,18.

Anyway, the boy is feeling regret about bullying the deaf girl and starts to isolate himself from everyone at school (represented tremendously by everyone having crosses on their faces) and starts to feel suicidal.

He tries to make contact with the deaf girl and eventually he becomes friends with her and her sister.

He starts to become friends with the people he was isolating himself from and their crosses start to fall off their faces.

It is very real and at times depressing.

    He tries to make contact.

    A Solid Japanese Anime FIlm
Everyone, well not everyone, can say at one point that they were mean to someone who didn't deserve it. This film is a good look at how someone might handle the redemption that feel they need to find. It shows the protagonist plight with well rounded anecdotes, good direction, writing and cool way of showing the classmates with xs over the faces of those he didn't feel close to. As you watch him fight back and worth with growing than diminishing numbers of friends drama, romance, friendship, happiness and elation all come into play. It is outstanding.
