    Provides its share of entertainment....
    6.4/10

As a heads up to this review I watched it alone so I wasn't trying to impress anyone with my feelings or emotions for the film.

This was somehow both slightly better AND slightly worse than I imagined it. Trailers always lure you in with the best parts so I kind of expected the film to be more funny and adventurous than it was. It definitely has funny parts, but most of the jokes are forced chuckles. The film was nowhere near adventurous as I anticipated, and the build-up was underwhelming.

The voice actors were on point for their roles. They were enjoyable, and though you couldn't see their faces, you could definitely feel their energy most notably Samuel L. Jackson, Ricky Gervais, and Michael Cera. If you know how some of the actors are in real life then you can appreciate them more as they bring that character to life in animation.

For me the best part was the visuals. Though it's an animation film, the landscape, characters, and elements are vibrant The flashback montages that give the noir, anime feeling are simply cool.

Overall, not a half bad film. This is definitely geared towards families, and families with younger kids. I feel like anyone twelve/thirteen or older will just have no interest in this film unless they're into these kinds of films. Some jokes are funny, and others are forced. Visually stunning, and the soundtrack culminates all the better.

That's all for now. Thank you for reading my review, and until next time.... Enjoy the show!

More Cartoon Crap - Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank
Another silly cartoon posing as a film with characters no one cares about involved in a story that is just as goofy (sorry, real Goofy) as the characters. This silly little cartoon belongs with Tom and Jerry on the Cartoon Network, not in a theatre that charges $20 for tickets and then another $20 for crappy snacks. Save that money and pay for a nice day at the beach or trip to the mountains; it will just about pay for a full tank of gas. There seems to be one or two of these pieces of junk that come out every week to exploit both parents and children. Don't waste your time or money on this stuff.

This is a very average addition to the kids animated genre
Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (2022) is a movie my daughter and I watched tonight on Paramount+. The storyline follows an outcast dog looking for work. He meets a local governor who wants to abuse his power, manipulate the shogun and expand his kingdom...so he assigns the dog to be a samurai and protect a local village he wants to take over. The governor forms an army of ninja to invade the town. Can the dog make friends with the locals and rally the troops to face the ninjas?

This movie is codirected by Chris Bailey (Kim Possible), Mark Koetsier (directorial debut) and Rob Minkoff (The Lion King) and contains the voices of Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction), Michael Cera (Juno), George Takei (Star Trek), Mel Brooks (Spaceballs), Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon), Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond) and Gabriel Iglesias (Space Jam: A New Legacy).

The animation was awesome and beautifully portrayed both the characters and backdrop. The dialogue was funny at times but the jokes were cheesy and inconsistent. The storyline is straightforward and doesn't take itself seriously. The cast who provided the voices is excellent on paper but no one really stands out in this and I didn't love any of the characters.

Overall, this is a very average addition to the kids animated genre. I would score this a 5.5/10 and recommend seeing it once.

    Paws of Fun
I really enjoyed this movie it was one of the few movies that has made me laugh from beginning to end. It had a lot of funny moments.

The humor probably isn't meant for kids or they won't really understand it, however it is for the older audience who would get and understand the humor.

It is actually a good movie with good animation as well, was worth the watch and i wouldn't mind watching it again.
