    Who would want to spend time with these people?
    I've cheerfully watched many a mediocre rom-com that gets by on the charm of its stars, and generally one or two fun hammy supporting players (a good example would be Amazon's recent Upgraded). But I bailed on this one after about thirty minutes. Every single character (including the parents) was not only totally unbelievable but utterly detestable: vapid, petty, vain, narcissistic, and just plain mean. I couldn't stand to spend another minute with them. I understand that the movie was (supposedly) loosely based on Much Ado About Nothing. (Unfortunately William Shakespeare can't sue, him being dead and all.) My suggestion to anyone thinking about watching this: Don't, but instead seek out Kenneth Branagh's delightful 1993 Much Ado About with Branagh, Emma Thompson, Kate Beckinsale, in her film debut, and an absolutely stellar supporting cast.

Highly recommend catching this one!

    Movie script is awful
    "Anyone But You" was supposed to be a delightful addition to the romantic comedy genre, but it falls disappointingly short. Despite its promising premise and an array of talented actors, the film ends up being a forgettable and tedious watch.

    The main actors, who usually light up the screen, seem disconnected and uninterested in this film. They are both well-known for their charisma and ability to bring characters to life, yet here they appear to be just going through the motions. Their interactions feel awkward and forced, making it tough for viewers to invest in their relationship. Romantic comedies thrive on chemistry between the leads, but this film is sorely lacking in that department.     Lovable leads in a fun rom com that should not have any expectations.

    Anyone But You is a good romantic comedy film that follows Bea (Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell) who almost had a successful date which leads to a bad breakup. Year later, there mutual friend is having a wedding and both of them agree to pretend to be in love to despise there exs.

    Plot is a rom com and predictable. It is fun. It has some fun moments. The characters are fun. The two main leads Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney were the highlights and it was fun seeing them bickering at each other. The direction is a rom com. We all know were it is going to lead too.

    It has a great cast ensemble. The humor is fun. The leads had a lot of fun. It was a fun film with some thin issues with its cliche.
