Trying to profit from a basic and repetitive premise
Here is an example of a film that tries to take a "phenomenon" (Momo) from the internet and tries to extract some money, but to no avail.

One of the worst mistakes was the creation of the monster. When practical effects is used on it, it obviously looks fake and nothing threatening, perhaps for children and people more sensitive to horror films. It is accepted that the monster was less developed by the budget of the film, but there were so many better ways to hide the quality of the monster, such as using darker camera planes, or using shadows and color contrasts.

Moving on to the script part. What a boring and repetitive premise. The addiction to mobile phones and social networks has already become boring to exploit. The overprotection of the parents depicted in the film is too exaggerated. I'm sure there are people like that, but it is forced into the film and every five seconds we are presented with another dose of overprotection. On the other hand, the caricature of teenagers is too false and silly. Again I don't deny that there are people like that. I will not talk about the interpretation of the actors because this leaves it up to you to evaluate.

The background sound anticipates the monster's attacks, and makes them less tense because when there are no attacks, there is no sound element that makes people afraid of an eventual attack, leaving the viewer too relaxed in a horror movie.

The only things I liked about the whole movie was when it ended and the good image quality in certain camera angles and scenes (excluding the bad horror scenes).

In short, it's a movie that serves to fall asleep.
