I went to see FRESH KILLS opening night. I have had respect for Jennifer Esposito from day one of watching her act and listening and reading to her affirmations about what is right in the world and what needs to be fixed. Women have never had an equal voice and Jennifer is trying to change this one movie at a time. You can see she has put in the work and the time into this project. The movie was intense and heart wrenching. The acting was excellent and the story was true. Congratulations Jennifer on completing this film and your directorial debut. Loved this film
I loved this film! I have seen it twice already at two different film festivals and I cannot wait to see it again. The acting by the entire cast was superb. They drew me into the film as if I were there.. I laughed, cried, scared and angered.. Basically the actors portrayal of the characters was so real that I felt every emotion possible.. Every detail was done wonderfully for the time and place this was set in. From the accents, behavior, content and storyline to the parts that shook me .. It was so real and it is one of the very few movies I have to see again and again just to relive it again and again. Do not miss this one.. It is a winner. I have never seen any of the actors before and after seeing them portray the characters perfectly I believe awards are in order.. The person that brought this film to fruition deserves an award as well . This is not your typical mob movie . It's a whole new take on the type of story, not the same story that I have seen in films before. But this captured my attention from beginning to end . I would love to tell you about the characters but I don't think that would be fair. Go see this film it will not disappoint !! Just the opposite will happen. You will want to see it again and again if only to see if you missed a moment that made something happen or to capture a feeling all over again.. I give this film a straight up 10 !!
