    So worth the wait!
I'm obsessed with all things Tudor, and I was excited when I heard that Firebrand was finally in theaters after months of waiting! I noticed that some of the reviews have been kind of mixed, and I was beginning to worry that Firebrand might be a disappointment, after all. The truth is, it's a genuine triumph from start to finish! I don't understand the negative comments at all.

The movie was beautifully shot, and the performances were brilliant throughout. Junia Rees's haunting portrayal of a young Princess Elizabeth really stood out; I look forward to seeing more from this talented young actress in the future!

This movie is based on a historical fiction novel. Like most movies based on historical fiction, there will be parts of the story that may not be 100% factually accurate, but anyone seeking that kind of accuracy should probably stick with documentaries, rather than period dramas.

If you enjoy great movies about royal history, especially those that feature strong female characters and great storytelling, go see Firebrand!
