Could have been an all time high......
This movie is literally the perfect example of an engaging movie, the one audience would regret to even miss one single scene.

This provides an inside view of what goes on the background of a live talk show, and the depth that certain memes have to go through to ensure the show goes on.

It contains the works, the engagement, the plot, the suspense, but sadly the ending took everything away from what could've been one of the greatest movies ever.

The movie does not deserve an ending so disappointing that the audience is left frustrated of what could've been. I'd be more than happy to sign a petition to change the ending, so that we can get the ending the movie deserves.

    7/10. Recommended
This is one of the best horror movies of the last 3 years. This is not such a big accomplishment as it sounds, because i don't remember many great horror movies recently. Still, it deserves its good reputation because they really tried here to create something different. Something original. And something like that is very difficult nowadays, when almost every interesting story seems it's already been told. So, i applaud this movie for its creativity. It hooked me from the start, it was even exciting at times, scary at times and it never dragged even for a second.

I wish i could rate it higher, unfortunately the ending fell flat, as many other reviewers have mentioned. It was like throwing into garbage what made this movie unique. The ending it was like a mediocre horror movie ending. I think that if it was more subtle/creepy/eerie, this would have been much scarier and unforgettable. Furthermore, this is one of the rare movies that should have been longer. There were many interesting ideas/subplots here which could be explored further. It's a pity that all this creativity didn't reach its potential.

In any case, this is a good horror movie, well acted and well directed. Way more cerebral than an average horror movie.

    Neither scary nor funny
Neither absorbing. 'Late Night with the Devil' starts big, loses direction, and is left with disappointment. The set-up for this whole late night show and collage video of the history of 'Night Owl' are fresh and unique. That fifteen-minute segment is the peak of the whole movie. It loses tension because the build-up process is unnecessarily long and because the actors are not competent enough. Directors cannot get away from criticism as well because they do not understand the pros and cons of the found footage. This method largely increases the sense of reality even though the angle and the frame can be unstable. However, the director keeps changing from the talk show that actually aired (found footage) to behind the scenes (Late Night with the Devil camera crew). Moreover, at the end, the camera shows hypnotized versions and even the past of Jack. By mixing everything, the movie fails to achieve anything.
