    Cobbler, stick to your trade!
This is an amateur work. The storyline comes off like ChatGPT 3.5 wrote it. No atmosphere, building kit characters and development paired with uninspired acting. The title and premise is actually pure clickbait. Maybe I expected too much, but here I should have trusted imdb and saved my time. Russel, I always liked your performances as an actor, but you've lost your way here. The story goes on for a full two hours and I want to believe that it probably even sounded good in Russel's head.

I'm having a lot of trouble coming up with the required number of letters for this review because the film is so empty that it practically doesn't even offer any scope for criticism. Cobbler, stick to your trade!

A quality effort from Mr Crowe.

Poker Face was a very well put together film that pulled me right in. The plot is obvious but still effective.

The cast are superb and wonderfully casual in the manner that they present themselves in the story. Its a very Australian film without being too Australian and aussies will know what I mean.

Crowe is the stand out but moments with Jack Thompson are also appealing.

Its slick, colourful and full of mates being mates.

I totally enjoyed it and wish the film had been half an hour longer.

I highly recommend Poker Face for a good night's entertainment :)

Boring & a waste of time
Basic movie that easily could've been better. Russell Crowe dials it in for a movie he directed & should've concentrated on his performance in front of the screen.

Where to start..confusing story line with a least 4 different story's that easily could've been better of they stuck to just one.

Ok I'm being harsh, the house was really nice & I'm currently looking to see if it's bookable on Airbnb.

If you like poker then this isn't the movie for you. If you like thillers then this isn't the movie for you. If you like suspense then this isn't the movie for you. Basically if you like well written & directed movies then this isn't for you...watch Black Dog.

    No omg no
What really to say here other than how bad and ridiculous this movie isThe plot is completely unorgamized. So many ridiculous thing going in at the same time. Other ridiculous things just get shown without reason, no legitimacy nothing.

Shuffling cards through a scene were the criminal is walking to his death and cant keep a straight line, crushing wooden fence!?

The pathetic running in the house by the two female looking for their dad, who normally has servants but not this time and still they dont stop to wonder why the house is so dark and lone.

But the ending takes the prize. Such a short ending like the killing if the intruders took 30 sec tops, while the rest of the movie was about I dont even know anymore. Cant recall what its about but I am sure it has nothing really to do with poker nor how to keep a straight poker face or an uneven one for that matter.

    Absolute bonkers
Nothing makes sense in this movie. Starting with the plot itself, then there's ridiculous overacting, even choice of music is beyond comprehension. I feel like Russell Crowe reading the script, and then writing the screenplay was intrigued by this concept of tense claustrophobic drama taking place in linear fashion told by a strong lead ultra-wise character which holds the mystery by its balls all the time, just to reveal it to the viewers by the end of the movie... And guess what - it all remained only a concept.

This is a bad movie with lots of very basic storytelling mistakes, bad editing, bad direction, bad screenplay, bad acting, and bad ending. It feels like an ego-boosting manouver for Mr. Crowe himself, sorry.

It's not what you've expected, but that's what and how Poker is played...With that analogy, I have to say It's brilliant and a true reflection of what life is...unexpected
Russel Crowe has been my favorite, and if have done your checks, not only Russel Crowe directed and acted, he also wrote the sound lyrics- another hidden talent of his.

I agree it's a kind-of-long or you're in for a slow start but believe me, I was stuck to my seat and yet simple enough story with twist and turn..No BS. If you want a different Russel Crowe movie, this is the movie to watch. It's different and you may or may not like the plot or the setting, but I think Russel Crowe did a fantastic job directing it. It's talented and very creative,

Love it and love the sound track especially the last song..

    Twisty fun - Highly recommend
My wife and I watched this movie and really enjoyed it! I see lots of bad reviews, I don't agree. This movie keeps you guessing right from the beginning, but that's part of its charm. There's some sun plots that keep you guessing too, so if you are confused in the beginning that's ok, it will come together. I loved the end of the movie, it felt like there were two. Truly a unique way to finish a movie.

If you are looking for a good date night movie or something you can sink your teeth into, look no further. You will love this fun ride with Russel Crowe - you won't be disappointed, we weren't!
