Competent action film.
Uncharted is a competent action film that lives up to its hype in terms of excitement and performance, but it falls short in terms of innovation, which is a shame since it could have been so much more. The script by Rafe Lee Judkins, Matt Holloway, and Art Marcum doesn't give much in the way of character development or humour for Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, despite the fact that Holland and Wahlberg have fantastic chemistry in the leading parts. Others who are familiar with the video game series may find it thrilling to see their favourite characters brought to life on the big screen; but, for those who are not familiar with the genre, the film may seem to be simplistic and boring.
