Nikolaj coster waldau is the danish captain ejnar mikkelsen, who had started out traveling through the waters of greenland. With him is iversen (joe cole), one of his crew. They are exploring the boundaries of greenland, to keep the americans from claiming ownership. But when the journey is longer and so much more difficult than they or anyone could imagine, things look pretty bleak. They are determined to forge on, in spite of amazing odds and obstacles. All they have to guide them are materials from a prior exploration party. Really good adventure and suspense. And all true! More details about mikkelsen's explorations at wikipedia dot org.
