    Better than expected
Look, I really can't stand musicals...so when my kids watched all three Zombies movies on Disney I had to go read a book. It happens that the main guy is also from Zombies so they got me there, yes it's not exact to the bible get over that- you can catch your kids up on that, the songs are catchy and I've watched it 5 times with the kids over the last week on Netflix, take it for what it's worth. They've got some quotable parts, good acting (yes they are good) and then the other people like the guy from King and Country (great actor and singer), Lecrae and I can't leave out Antonio Banderas who is memorable and the three wise men.

    perspectives
My effort was to like this film. Maybe because it is a profound bizarre one. Sure, modern, sure, low budgeted, sure, modest at whole. A pleasant, in some measure, musical, a provocative - eccentric Irod, nice crafted by Antonio Banderas and a very interesting donkey , both being the good reasons to see this film.

I do not thing be a bad movie but it is , I suppose, tooo free in exploration a sensitive subject for so many assumed Christians like naivety.

But , sure, fair to not expect too much. It is one of Christmas films, precious for return to true significance of Christmas, in some measure, sweet for attempt to offer courageous and not so polite perspectives about familiar things, maybe for humor, silly to childish in too many moments.

    Haters back off
This movie was so well done! The music, the actors, the costumes, the singing... all of it was a win! I cried in it multiple times! I loved how it gave an alternate perspective to the nativity story we all know. It was so cool to see how it could've been.

Also for parents, I felt like it was very appropriate for kids. It was fun, clean, and very beautiful to watch. Nothing struck me as "too mature" for my little ones.

This definitely has now become a Christmas classic in my home. Beautiful work, thank you to all involved for making such a great film! Please do more Bible musicals!!! Maybe do Abraham and Isaac, or Moses...We are here for it! But I don't know if you'd be able to top this movie, though. Loved this.
