Entertaining vampire comedy.
Refreshing movie about vampires, something different from what we're normally used to. The vampires could have been a bit more lethal to make it a better movie but Day Shift is more a comedy than a horror movie. The contortionists (that they hired from Cirque du Soleil by the way) gave the vampires a pretty creepy look. Good make-up also so the vampires looked really good here. Jamie Foxx and Dave Franco together as the vampire hunters was a good duo to watch, entertaining to say the least. There are some scenes that were a bit over the top and not really necessary but other than that there isn't much bad to write about Day Shift. The soundtrack was top, with artists like Tupac, Ice Cube, Ice T, RZA, and Snoop Dogg to name some you can't really go wrong. Snoop Dogg has also a decent screen time and he wasn't bad but he's definitely a better singer than an actor. Day Shift is ideal for people that like action, vampires and a dosis of humour.
