How Do These Keep Getting Made?!
After We Fell continues the After franchise by delivering new ways for our lovesick leads to fall apart. Though audiences have endured 2 full-length feature films, After We Fell remains consistent by mostly recycling old plot points. With some new 'surprises' popping up throughout, the After series is never short of convoluted drama at every turn.

While reconnecting with her father, troubled Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) foolishly falls back into her relationship with the emotionally unstable Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin). Now both dealing with daddy issues, the pair explore their past, while struggling with their future. Though every other character watches this embarrassing relationship progress, the leads inexplicitly cling to their toxic instability.

Shortly after watching this, I could not differentiate it from the past 2 installments and found myself struggling to remember which film had which arguments and which break-ups were caused by whose disloyalty/honesty. After We Fell holds a very rare honor by barely sticking with me and remaining indiscernible from the rest of the series. This truly belongs in the Sewers of Cinema.

Older adults might like this movie
Young love, jobs that bring distance to love, hot sex, and older adults that make poor decisions. Real to life. We enjoyed this movie. Lots of topics brought up that made the storyline interesting to us. The two young actors that played the young lovers played their parts very well. We didn't see the first two movies that were prequels, but we were still able to follow the storyline very well. We think that maybe older adults might enjoy this movie more than younger adults. The ending was a gentle surprise that fit the characters as to why they had issues themselves. But, being young, doesn't every young person have issues?

After after ... after - pick yourself up
Or maybe not - I mean there is ... well seems like some people are left behind. So the second movie in the series (After we collided) had a replacement for one of the characters ... we even have more replacements here. The mother of our female "hero", the step bro of our male hero get added to the list. And those are just the obvious ones. I think there is at least one more ... and I have no clue why they do this. Not sure if it makes a difference knowing the books/novels ... but even for those people this must be confusing as ... well as anything to say the least.

That aside, this continues to be "erotic", though it is not like you will be able to see much skin (apart from the behind of our male lead that is, if you are into that congratulations). I reckon that is the reason this was rated R - something they don't feel is necessary in Germany for example. The rating system here is more leniant when it comes to stuff like that - they are more strict when it comes to violence. So the opposite of the MPAA.

There is a running theme of the father here - and it may take you to a different direction than you may think. Then again, the ending is so soap, so cliche, so cringe ... that it sets up the sequel perfectly I reckon.

Still all those fights our leads go through ... even after they agree they shouldn't have any secrets with each other ... of course they forget about that the second they say it, but hey ... what weird teenage angst movie would this be, if they would act in a logical manner? Exactly ... bring on part 4 ... in a few months, when I all but have forgotten what this was about ... but will hopefully get a conclusion ... well we'll get a conclusion and be done with it.

    Awful
There was no plot and so boring. It is constantly just yelling and sex. I lost all my brain cells felt so dumb. This is a great movie to have sex to cause at least your doing something entertaining.
