    For younger viewers
This movie is good, if you are a teenager or a younger viewer. It is a light-watch, the romance part is very safe for work (pretty much about the two leads arguing), the Mars aspect is cute, and Gary robots has quite the humour.

For anyone above 20yo, well... This movie is hardly about falling in love at all, and it isn't a true comedy either. I would suggest the movie to families looking for something to watch together, or to young romantic girls (not sure about boys...).

I truly feel here that this movie is reaching the wrong audience. As such, it's not the Godfather's viewers nor does it intend to be.

I enjoyed it, although I found myself checking my phone, more than a couple of times. And there was something in the plot, and something in the acting, that didn't convince me, almost like the movie was aimed to children.

Last, in a couple of scenes, Lana was angry, like super angry, and for a light rom-com styled movie it seemed a little out of place... They probably should have given her more humourous behaviours.

Dont Expect This to have any science
There literally is nothing right about it.

Its sort of a love story set on spacecraft and on mars.

    Mars looks like earth, mostly.

All of the martians are meant to be geniuses but sophie, a Genius, doesnt know the difference between receiving an electric shock and being electrocuted (which means you're dead or severely injured).

The love story is quite week and really only blossoms in the last few mins.

The Plot is OK The sound is ok The Photography is ok The Acting is ok

    Its a passable watch 👍👎

    Romcom tries to be fresh
This Romcom had the idea to kind of refresh the genre. A Romcom involving space and Mars. Something I've never seen. It had the chance to take advantage of that... Unfortunately It doesn't really do that.

For the most part here acting is average to slightly above average, I don't think there's many instances of bad acting, line delivery at timers is questionable though.

Plot wise, a lot of this movie makes no sense and defies everything you'd expect a future world to have that has things like commercial space travel. The "twist" as they call it, was nothing more than a cheap lazy cop out to try and explain how someone snuck onto a rocket "unnoticed". There's a list of things that make no sense even after this cop out. It's like they brainstormed some ideas, said let's go, then as they filmed the movie they improvised everything in between.

The CGI wasn't amazing, but I'm willing to overlook that as it was rarely used.

The comedy in this film isn't good either. There's some chuckles or grins here and there but it feels like maybe the comedy is for a much younger age group.

The Romance of this film is also really annoying and it just takes way to long to begin... It starts, then ends starts, then ends and starts... It tries to keep you on your toes but it just comes off as annoying and lazy and doesn't make any sense. I mean they're introduced because he walks into her room after accidently walking in thinking it was the bathroom then sneaks behind her and goes over her shoulder and scares the crap out of her. Girls in real life would be understandably traumatized about this.

Overall I think this films main premise is interesting and it was something that could of been really unique about this movie but it just doesn't really take advantage of it except for a couple scenes. As a RomCom this isn't a horrible film for that genre, but the way it screwed up a fresh idea is unfortunate. It's a movie with lazy writing and average acting and a film full of things that just don't make sense or is such a huge stretch. Like they don't have pictures on their ID's in the future? So many things! If you turn your brain off, and enjoy cheesy humor and the color pallet of most bedrooms LED lights, you might find some enjoyment here. Unfortunately I've seen so many better RomComs even with recycled premises.

This is not a movie I reccomend you get HBO Max for and this is a movie I only reccomend if you're a teen or really can't find anything to watch, have HBO Max and have seen other RomComs. Other than that watch the other movies in this genre, they have better writing, better acting and usually better comedy and romance. This isn't just below average to me, it's in the bad category. Hence a 3/10.
