Mean Girls the Movie Musical
New student Cady Heron is welcomed into the top of the social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called ‘The Plastics,’ ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George and her minions Gretchen and Karen. However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina’s ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels, she finds herself prey in Regina’s crosshairs. As Cady sets to take down the group’s apex predator with the help of her outcast friends Janis and Damian, she must learn how to stay true to herself while navigating the most cutthroat jungle of all: high school.

I don't know what I was expecting from a Mean Girls musical, but this was not it. I absolutely adore the original movie. It is one of my favorites. This, however, was absolutely wretched. While the actors have good singing voices, the songs were just baaaaad. Really, really, really bad. I didn't like a single one of them. Also, I understand why they changed some of the jokes and dialogue because it did not age well, however, the jokes fell flat. It was not funny at all. I did like the actors who played Damian and Janice. They were the best part of the movie and that isn't saying much. Yes, the original is better, but...
You must remember when watching this that it's a film version of the Broadway play, so it's going to be a little different, but still feature some of those cult classic catch phrases that are said in the original Mean Girls movie. I love that some of the original actors had little cameos and/or revived their roles from the first film. All of the singers are very talented and the lyrics are fun and interesting. So again, watch it with the mindset of a Broadway musical and you will enjoy it a lot better versus wanting it to be just like the original. I love the original more but this one was pretty good it's better than the second one they did but for a remake it's pretty pretty good and I mean they pick the right Regina George and Karen and Gretchen so I mean this was such a good movie and I think angorie did a really good job. So I really loved everything about this movie and especially angorie meeting mean girls was everything. This movie is so good and I really suggest you watch it if you like the original one then you'll definitely like this one but watch the first one before you watch this one the second one is terrible do not watch it.
