    Aggressively Mediocre
Wish straddles the line between adequate and forgettable. The animation is competent, presenting a polished visual experience that unfortunately falls flat in terms of character and depth. It lacks the charm and warmth of traditional 2D animation and fails to capture the immersive quality of superior 3D animation.

The story itself is pedestrian, with a plot that meanders without ever truly engaging the viewer. If I had to guess, someone at Disney looked at the logo of the stars flying over the castle and said "make this into a movie." The characters are one-dimensional, offering little to no growth or memorable moments. The dialogue is equally uninspired, with clichéd lines that do little to elevate the narrative. References to past better Disney movies better than this one can't save it through nostalgia alone.

One of the film's significant flaws is the main villain, who seems to be evil for no discernible reason other than "hot older white guy = bad." This lack of motivation and depth makes the antagonist feel like "villainous" is his only character trait, detracting from the overall story and leaving the audience with a sense of frustration.

While the animation quality is decent, it feels soulless, missing the unique artistic touches that could have made it stand out. The environments are well-rendered but ultimately lack the vibrancy and life that make animated worlds feel real and captivating.

On a positive note, my two-year-old seemed to enjoy the star character, which admittedly has a certain cuteness appeal.

"Wish" is an aggressively mediocre film that fails to leave a lasting impression. It's watchable but ultimately forgettable.

They literally make you side with the "villain"
"Disney's 'Wish' is an incredible disappointment. The film's protagonist, Asha, is so egotistical and illogical that it almost makes you side with the villain, King Magnifico. Asha's lack of backstory and depth makes her unrelatable, and her actions often come off as irrational and self-centered. Meanwhile, King Magnifico, despite being the antagonist, is given a more compelling and understandable motivation, making his character inadvertently more sympathetic.

The movie's plot feels rushed and overly reliant on dialogue, with little visual storytelling to engage the audience. This makes the story feel like it's being explained rather than experienced. The musical numbers are forgettable and fail to capture the magic of past Disney hits like 'Frozen' or 'Moana'.

Overall, 'Wish' feels like a cynical cash grab, crafted more by focus groups than by genuine creative vision. It's a hollow film that falls flat, failing to evoke the heartfelt emotion and wonder that Disney is known for.

Eh not the worst I've seen :/
This movie is pretty dang bad but before I go to the bad stuff I want to say something I actually love about it, the art style is unique and pretty cool :) the plot (before adding the fluff) is actually really unique and same for the character design. Now the BAD stuff.... There is not a SINGLE time in this movie that I laughed at a joke they had I only laughed at the ridiculous lyrics. That made no sense like "I'm a star watch out world HERE I ARE💀" Another thing is how underwritten the characters are especially Asha friends and the short one makes me want to kick him same with the goat. But anyways I didn't want to write a lot so basically this movies meh but for a 100 year anniversary....it's horrible.
