    Kinda Disappointed.
I saw the Trailers for Wish when I saw it and I was excited to go with my friends and little cousin. So when I finally went to theaters...I'm going to be completely honest. I was disappointed. We all were after the movie ended. Some of the scenes were plain and simple and let alone boring. I love the art and some of the characters but the songs are just...meh. I'm sorry but I think that Wish is by far the most disappointing Disney Production of all time. I know it was the directors first time Creating a movie for Disney,but...I kind of expected more than a movie that had different Disney Easter eggs in it and it being a sort of sequel to the Classics. Like Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. (The 6 Teens and Magnifico getting trapped in a mirror with the Evil Mirrors face in a quick frame.) And evidently Asha becoming The Fairy Godmother? (I THINK!) But the movies still good in ways. I love the songs and plot and the Goats my favorite. And I love the Plushie. Ok that's enough I'm out. I do recommend you see Wish though. It's a great movie to see with your kids.

    A kingdom without magic
Wish topped off 2023 for Disney. Arguably, it was the most dismal year for the company to date. When you realize it was their 100th anniversary year, that makes things even more tragic. A big part of why things went so badly was, well, Wish itself.

This has to be Disney's worst animated film. It is as much of a commercial for the company as Space Jam 2 was for Warner Bros. It's just a long string of Disney references and homages, strung along with a mediocre fairytale about the power of wishes. Is this the best Disney can do? No. Surely, it is not. Disney hasn't made it this far to turn in a film this lazy. If I was head of production, I would have begged for this movie to be shelved until it was reworked into something much better than this. Films like Coyote Vs. Acme are sitting in a basement somewhere with issues far less than the kind you'll see in Wish. I would say that Disney has no shame, but shameless isn't going to cut it going forward. The house of mouse has a legacy worth preserving and worth living up to. Do better!

I 'WISH' I'd never watched it!
Just to bear in mind going into this review I'm a 32 year old bloke in the UK and while I wouldn't say I'm Disney's target demographic I AM generally a fan of what they do. My favourites in no particular order being: Hunchback of Notre Dame Aladdin Hercules Tarzan Dumbo Emperors New Groove Atlantis the Lost Empire Mulan Fantasia The Great Mouse Detective Tangled

    Anyways on with the review!

I put it on for the kids the other day and they were bored within the first 10 minutes. I sat and watched the lot because I can't not watch a film right the way through even if I don't like it (similar to morbid curiosity I guess, I have to see just how bad it can be) the only way to describe this film is that it felt like someone typed 'make the most play it safe Disney movie you can' into an AI and this is what it came up with. The goat character feels like Patrick Stewart turned the role down so they asked Tudyk to do his best Patrick Stewart impression. Poor old Chris Pine did his best as the completely Forgettable villain. All of the songs were also forgettable (the only one that WAS catchy was the villains one yet its so bad you'll be kicking yourself when you catch yourself singing it!) All of the characters were completely forgettable to the point I literally can't remember a single name! Its full of random easter eggs which is apparently something to do with it being the 100 year anniversary of disney or something but all they achieve is reminding you of good films they made that you could better spend your time watching instead. In conclusion I wouldn't even rate it out of ten as it was so bland. It wasn't a bad film per se but it wasn't good either and somehow that's worse than being outright bad. At least you can discuss and laugh about bad films with people, this is just Meh! I much preferred Elemental.
