    Average should be a high 8 or a 9
So I gave it a 10 to push up the average. Reading past reviews those who gave it less than a 6 just can't comprehend that every second of a movie does not have to make total sense as long as we feel good watching it. (And those who gave it a 6, wow you have ridiculously high expectations!) This is an excellent feel good movie. No sex, no gore or violence, no language -- just a happily ever after story that some of us want More of!

And it doesn't hurt the eyes that "The Flash" is the star. :) If you love dogs, good movie. If you don't, move on. And if you're looking for a deep experience that's 100% "real" you'll be disappointed. (I bet you're disappointed a lot.) BTW,thank you the review that said, Watch the bloopers at the end. Yup, they're fun. (I don't think this counts as a spoiler).

    Thoroughly enjoyable
I liked this movie so much that i watched it twice! It had a depth of character that helps it tell a story of hope and fulfilment. Amazingly, it is based on a true story. The characters are likeable and the acting solid. The dialogue promoting theme could have been a bit more subtle, but (really!) it was not too cheesy. Even if animals are not your thing, the movie delivers. It is as much about handling hardship as it is about dogs. Rescued by Ruby Is well worth watching for the entertainment value as well as the reminder of keeping hope. Suitable for family film night or get the popcorn and watch with a friend. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Pleasant and a very satisfying ending
A pleasant movie for a night in, based on a true story. It dragged a bit in the middle, but had a wonderful ending. Make sure you watch the bloopers in the credits, then afterwards look up and see just how much of this actually happened - most of the main details seems to be accurate.

    A great "feel good" film!
Just pick up Netflix and found this little gem of a film. I love Grant Gustin and I'm a sucker for dog stories so this was a winner for me! Watched it all the way through and thoroughly enjoyed it! But then I saw it was a movie based on a real story about K9 officer Bill Boudroux, I was intrigued! Then watching North Woods Law on Animal Planet, Officer Bill Boudroux and Ruby were featured in a short clip and I recognized them! Although the dog used in the film was adorable, I wish they had used the same breed. But all in all, this film shows that we all may be a little flawed but there is a higher purpose for us all, even a dyslexic man and his out of control dog! You just have to dig a little deeper to find it! A charming, enjoyable film!
