The extraordinary true story of eccentric British artist Louis Wain, whose playful, sometimes even psychedelic pictures helped to transform the public's perception of cats forever.
jimmycoffin-751-212853 - 8 November 2022 Hilariously Bad Haha You can't shoehorn Benedict In any kind of role! He's a good actor but Louis Wain was clearly not the right part for him. It's laughably bad overracting, and It shows Benedict feel uncomfortable. It even shines through the lenses that this was a huge mistake.
In this movie He plays an Introvert with a childlike demeanor and shyness of women.
The problem Is And will always be, Is that Benedict doesn't have that rebellious, handsome weird charisma of a young Johnny Depp. It's clear as day the acting has a connection and vibe of Edward shissorhands and the likes. But fails to capture any sense of melancholic wonder. It just feels odd watching benedict In his wrong element.
It doesn't help that the movie Is also pretty tame. I would say skip this and watch Imitation game or something else.
