    less and less scary
In terms of story, it has become a pretty mediocre film, where the 1st part was still fresh and there was a story structure to be seen, that is not the case here.

Negative point 2 is the lack of tension building, the creepiness of the stalking effect in the original was already very mediocre in the previous part, but here that lack is even more painful.

Gore has replced tension and creepyness and that is not what halloween is all about

People simply don't seem to know how to make a scary film anymore and when the story has become confused, it is a bit painful to see.

That leaves only the technical aspects (make up, camera work, etc., acting), which are okay, but you need a good story for a good film and the film largely fails in that regard.

I think it just does enough to merit being filed under 'good'
A worthy effort, if nothing all that memorable.

I found 'Halloween Kills' to be a touch below 2018's 'Halloween' in terms of entertainment and general interest, but like that one it does what it needs to do and produces something that is (narrowly, in this case) worth watching. I would've liked a bit more progression in the story, as this very much feels like the middle entry in a three-parter.

This flick gives more screen time to those around Jamie Lee Curtis, which isn't necessarily a positive (given Curtis is as good as she is) but the actors all do find jobs - even if no-one particularly stands out, at least to me. Away from the cast, the deaths are solid and the use of the iconic theme is spot on.

I didn't love this, almost nonplussed by it in truth but overall I think it just does enough to merit being filed under 'good'.

    It's a nice addition
"Halloween Kills" is a solid entry in the long-running horror franchise, offering a visceral and brutal continuation of Michael Myers' reign of terror. While it may not reach the heights of the original classic, it still delivers a satisfying dose of suspense and gore for fans of the series.

The film picks up immediately where its predecessor, the 2018 "Halloween," left off, showcasing the aftermath of Michael Myers' rampage through Haddonfield. The portrayal of the town's collective trauma and mob mentality adds depth to the narrative, exploring the ripple effects of violence in a small community.

Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Laurie Strode, and her performance continues to impress as she embodies the determined and resilient survivor. The film also delves deeper into the psyche of Michael Myers, providing intriguing glimpses into his enigmatic character without demystifying him entirely.

The kills in "Halloween Kills" are undeniably gruesome and inventive, catering to fans of the franchise who appreciate creative and graphic horror sequences. Director David Gordon Green maintains the suspenseful atmosphere established in the 2018 film, with John Carpenter's haunting score adding to the tension.

The film's pacing, however, can feel uneven at times, with moments of intense action followed by slower, character-driven scenes. While this approach allows for character development, it may leave some viewers wanting more consistent thrills.

"Halloween Kills" is undoubtedly a worthy addition to the franchise, offering a chilling exploration of the consequences of Michael Myers' actions and the resilience of his victims. It's a film that caters to fans of slasher horror, with gruesome kills and suspenseful sequences, but it may not fully satisfy those seeking a more nuanced or tightly paced narrative. Overall, it's an 8/10 for delivering what it promises-a bloody and thrilling continuation of the Halloween saga.

    Great film
This film deals with the aftermath of Halloween 2018.

It continues almost immediately after the first.

The big difference is it starts right at the end of the original to show its a soft reboot from Halloween 1978. So it starts at around 5 minutes after the original 1978 ended and the police arrest Myers with Dr Loomis.

This one also expands the cast to bigger ensemble with characters that were introduced in the original, such as Tommy, the child Laurie Strode is sitting for, also Lindsey, the Girl Annie Brackett is babysitting for, Marion Chambers, the original actress and the nurse that is driving Loomis to pick up Myers from the institute when Myers original escape, it also has a cameo by the original Sheriff Brackett although not the same actor, also expands the characters to people that only had cameos in the 2018 Halloween.

Laurie's in hospital from the stab wound that Myers gave her from the previous film.

It expands on the whole boogie-man premise.

It's well acted and flows nicely and brings new insights into Michael Myers.

It's brilliant film. It's my second faverourite film of the franchise second only to the original movie.

    Kills is a good title
As someone who is a somewhat horror fan I can tell you that this film It's very good and it perfectly continues into this into this Is new trilogy And I thought that Michael and Laurie Are perfectly Well out and the stakes are higher You never know what's gonna happen next If anyone is a fan of This franchise or wants to see Michael and Laurie once again go head to head in this film Then you will be satisfied even though it ends with a massive Cliffinger But it does a perfect job setting up the last movie And it's well worth the wait Even though I don't care for cliff hangers especially in a horror movie I thought that the way it ends was a nice set up for the Last film.

    A decent sequal
I do agree in a way with some of the reviews for this film. Sure its a little muddled, but it starts off exactly where we left the last film at. Which really makes this fill more like one film than two seperate ones. I liked the fact we have characters come back from previous installments but what happens to them makes them feel like they were not needed. The sequances were shot nicely afterall. Especially the firefighter part. Once more curtis plays the heroric strode, but we don't get enough of her really to warrent her need in the film. Really her granddaughter had become more of the focal point, which i'm all for. There were some decent kills and good camera angels. Michael did feel a little off though and as if he didn't even know why he was killing people in the firstplace. Overall a sequal that strays a little off the path but still stays with its principles. A pretty decent cast with some good inclusions and just another entertaining movie in the franchise.
