    Nailed It
I love everything about this movie, the acting, the casting, the writing, directing, production, soundtrack, location,... it just all came together for me in such an enjoyable experience to watch. I rewatched it several times, and replayed Ruby's audition into the double digits. It moved me to tears so much so I had sores under my eyes. I'm a big fan of Joni Mitchell's music, and Emilia Jones' rendition of Both Sides Now, was both beautiful and touching.

I was especially impressed with what Emilia Jones had to do to prepare for and what was required of her acting skills for this film at the young age of 19, learning ASL, shedding her english accent for the role, upping her singing game, and not tossing her lunch while sucking in diesel fumes, sloshing raw fish around, and riding out ocean swells on a fishing trawler. Kuddos to Sian Hedder for having the self discipline to hold out for the person who brought such authenticity to the role of Ruby Rossi.

The entire cast made the film, and were really engaging and entertaining. So glad I was introduced to Troy Kotsur, and Daniel Durant in this film, and have always enjoyed Marlee Matlin in so many roles for the energy, depth, and humor she brings to her roles. It made me want to learn more about these actors and their work. Any good film should leaving you wanting more from the characters, directors, and writers, and this film certainly hit the mark.

Also so glad that the Rossi's were depicted as smart and capable, just feeling as though the stereotype for deaf characters in films are people who are less then, dependent upon, or not as capable as their hearing counterparts. Critics might nitpick the authenticity of the signing, having a non-CODA play a CODA, the implied dependency on CODA in deaf families, and other aspects of the film, but nothing is perfect in this world. I felt grateful, in spite of a story based in fiction, for a brief glimpse into deaf culture, and such lovable, and entertaining characters. My God, Troy Kotsur had me in stitches with laughter half the time. I have to say he nailed the role of Frank Rossi.

I love that it was an independent film, such a grass roots production, that brings more authenticity to the story and experience for me at least. It's visceral and gritty, like life really is, and felt so much more personal to me.

I hoping that there there are more comments about the production, behind the scenes stories, etc. Added to IMDB for CODA. There is so much more to this story and what went into production than what we see on screen. We've all had that Mr Bernarrrrrdo Villalobos, BTW another great casting choice with Eugenio Derbez, who gave us a needed kick in the seat of the pants, but with genuine compassion and concern, as he says to Ruby and Mile, "today please", let's hear more of that story.

    Apple's Greatest Productions
It is one of the few movie that achieve great success. I highly recommend this movie, as it is truly one of Apple's greatest productions. The music is great and the acting is perfect. Everything in the movie is wonderful. It is very touching and dramatic. I liked the characters and i think maybe Mr. V is one of the best actors. The quality of the picture is awesome. And the sound effects are fantastic Especially when they were listening at the party to their daughter Ruby singing and then they muted the sound so that we could see from the father's perspective. Actually i don't know what to say but maybe this is one of the best movies i had ever seen. Rating the movie 8/10.

    Beyond Words
The 2021 Best Picture Oscar winner combines elements from "Children of a Lesser God" and Peter Yates' "Breaking Away." It tells the story of a family with hearing-impaired members who heavily rely on their daughter, Emilia Jones from Netflix's "Locke & Key." She not only works in the family's fishing trade but also serves as an interpreter in various situations, both at home and abroad. Despite her desire to join the school choir, she may have an opportunity to win a scholarship to a music school due to her talent, supported by her choir teacher, Eugenio Derbez. Jones' older brother, Daniel Durant, feels overlooked, as he believes he should be the one addressing the family's needs. Their parents, Marlee Matlin and Troy Kotsur, must learn to trust and involve their hearing relatives so that Jones can pursue her dreams. While the film may be more admired than loved, it still delivers powerful moments, such as Jones singing 'Both Sides Now' by Joni Mitchell while signing to her family from the balcony. The movie also features Ferdia Walsh-Peelo from "Sing Street" as Jones' love interest and fellow choir member.

The movie that so heartwarming that the only rival is ghibli movie
I love film about music, i love film about chasing dream, the hard part to find great film with these kind of type is find a great conflict in the story, a conflict that not so weird and ugly or just a petty small problem that make an adult viewer like me just say "meh", Coda is just become my one of favourite movie all time, these film have a realistic problem that so heartfelt that make a chasing dream story is so heartwarming, how could you be a singer if all your family can't understand how beautiful is singing? I love the plot so much, i love the character, the conclusion, THE MUSIC ! I love it all about these film is so beautiful. And i dont know why but Coda is bring the same vibes of heartwarming like i watch ghibli movie, and this is rare for live action film bring these feeling. MASTERPIECE.

    Not Sound of Metal
When I heard about the movie, I thought it would be similar to Sound of Metal, with its less predictable plot.

CODA is a feel good movie, that we have seem hundreds of times, but with a nice emotional topic and great performance by all actors.

After some 20 minutes into a movie, I was wondering, why it won an Oscar, but then checked other nominees, and, well, except of Dune Part 1 there were no real contenders, thus totally deserved win.

CODA might be predictable, but it is positive and emotional, and we do need more movies like this.

    Complete Film
I learned, I laughed, I cried, I was inspired, and it made me think. One of the few movies I've watched that that checked all my boxes. Would watch again.
