    Excellent film
Don't understand the low ratings. This was a fantastic film. It's nice to see Nuns being courageous and badass in this universe. Doesn't happen in ours. I hate Nuns for what they did to my mother when she was in an orphanage. I suppose if they had known to simply break the bond between Valak and Maurice, by cutting or burning the raised inverted cross, it would have been a short franchise. It made me laugh everytime someone said "the devil". Um no... it's a demon, they were all demons, not the devil.

The Nun and The Nun II are my favourite of the universe. As they were "scary". The others not so much. There are so many neat things in this film. The magazines, Sister Irene on fire and not burning the heroics of Sophie. The sheer atmosphere was fantastic.

    My 2 cents worth.

It is very over the top and hard to watch
I like The Nun for its amazing supernatural/gothic horror vibes that rarely seen among its peers at that time. I feel the jumpscares are over the top and the story is at best ridiculous, but somehow it works for me.

What's weird about The Nun II is even though they still played the same tricks, this movie just doesn't work. In my book, this caused by the lack of focus to told the investigation (which is really cool if handled properly) and going straight up to try at least 20 new ways to show the titular character on the screen. This sacrifices the plot greatly and at the end, the long explanation and convenient twist only bore me with details. I'm sad knowing that the story (or the concept) is wasted for the sake of presentation.

Sure, that's one thing that I like about the movie. It still maintains the spirit to be as over the top as possible. I mean, if you want to see some Indiana Jones or Marvel superheroes action in an horror context, this movie is perfect for you. You just can't expect a good story, like I do.

    Good horror sequel
Taissa ferminga us back as Irene. A nun in the 20s who gets called to a boarding school after a previous thought dead spirit still lurks. The nun looks no difference to her previous appearance, though this time I feel she was used less than before. The buns spooky and there are many jump scares. The action scenes are well done and it is genuinely pretty creepy. It didn't feel like a sequel really. More a standalone film. Though I liked the closing scene and it was pretty good. I think the hun is part of the conjuring universe that does not need anymore films as this does well at closing her saga and what made her a powerful ghost. Overall not to bad.
