STINKERELLA! Just kidding. This movie was fine.
This movie was mid overall except for the character of Zelly. That guy moved like a WORM. It was REALLY GOOD. He danced like a character from Hotel Transylvania and I don't know how he even did it.

There was also a guy in one of the dance sequences who was dancing on crutches(???) and I thought on first sight that he had been both with short legs, but I was wrong. His legs were normal. He was just swinging them so fast that I couldn't accurately judge the length. I feel bad about assuming.

As for the sneakers, they all looked bad actually. I don't know who chose the sneakers for the movie. Maybe a kid.

    DETROIT WHAT!? DETROIT WHAT?!

    Kicks
An updated, musical version of cinderella where slippers are replaced with sneakers and an aspiring artist as the main character. Though it slows in the middle a little, it's an entertaining revamp with heavy forgiveness and belief themes.

    Not perfect, but still fun
The only new elements in this version is the music and Astoria setting. All-black cast? D+ has an R&H version starring Brandy and Whitney Houston. Gender flip? Rags. Cinderfella. Shoe designer? If The Shoe Fits. Didn't realize you were hanging out with "royalty"? Ever After. Old story, same twists and turns as 40 other versions. I watched it for the fresh faces and music. I enjoyed it. The use of one song from Disney's 1950 version was a nice callback.

Keep doing remakes with different ethnic groups. Let every kid see their neighborhood in these stories.
