Sneakerella
When El, an aspiring sneaker designer from Queens, meets Kira King, the fiercely independent daughter of legendary basketball star and sneaker tycoon Darius King, sparks fly as the two bond over their mutual affinity for sneakers. With a little nudge from his best friend and a sprinkle of Fairy Godfather magic, El finds the courage to use his talent to pursue his dream of becoming a ‘legit’ sneaker designer in the industry.

Don't overthink it
The reviews of this movie are a bit harsh for a Disney kids movie. The songs and choreography are easily the greatest part of this movie! Of course it's a recycled story of Cinderella but at least it's from the boys view and there is no "damsel in distress" storyline which I am thankful for. My 6 yr old son LOVES sneakers and all things shoes so of course that's an added bonus for him. Just enjoy a simple movie with good music and don't overthink it.
