The adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
sejaysegal - 9 January 2023 Interstellar Your children or the human race. That was the choice that Cooper thought he would have to make, but it was already made for him by Professor Brand. Though, why is Professor Brand portrayed as a villain? He chose to sacrifice the people on earth, and lied for it, but he thought it was the only way that the human race could survive. I think he is a villain for the same reason as anyone who proposes that we let the elderly die because they are a net negative to the economy. The message of Interstellar is that humans are loving and caring, not emotionless optimisers, and that means we are inherently flawed, but inherently beautiful. Humans can be evil, not nature, and incredibly selfish like Dr. Mann, but humans can also philosophise, create, experience and form intricate loving bonds (even with robots) like no other being can. I liked Interstellar's perspective on robots, working together with humans, not ruling over them (and TARS is right, absolute honestly is not the best way to communicate with emotional beings!).
