Beyond Blue: 'Avatar' reflects Earth's colonial shadows in stunning visuals
"Avatar" isn't just a visual masterpiece; it's a profound reflection on our own world's troubled history. As I delved into the vibrant ecosystems of Pandora, I couldn't help but see the stark parallels with Earth's own colonial past. Here, the Na'vi aren't just fictional characters; they are echoes of every native population faced with the onslaught of outsiders bent on exploitation. The film masterfully intertwines these themes with extraordinary CGI, making it a spectacle that goes beyond the surface. James Cameron doesn't just entertain; he provokes a deep reevaluation of our actions as a species. This isn't just a story about interstellar conquest; it's a cautionary tale about our own capacity for destruction wrapped in a compelling call to safeguard our future. Bravo, Cameron, for turning a mirror on humanity with such a dazzling display.

    The way of other galaxies
I think most people would not have tried to reach the real understanding of the film Avatar!

Every person has a different way of understanding the movie, I watched this movie many times, thanks to which I found some sign in it, which is not difficult to connect with reality. Before starting the comment, I would like to present a preliminary research, on the basis of which it will be easier for me to explain this claim.

Dr. Ellis Silver has made a dangerous claim in his book (Humans are not from Earth) that man is not the original inhabitant of this planet Earth, but he was created on another planet and for some reason his original planet. Was thrown from its current home planet Earth.

    1. The gravity of the place where man came from was less than the earth, the complaint of back pain in humans is due to high gravity.

2.. As many chronic diseases are found in humans, they are not found in any other creature

3.. Humans cannot tolerate sitting in the sun for a long time, but after some time they start to feel dizzy and may suffer from sunstroke, while animals do not have such an issue.

4.. The temperature of all creatures living on earth is automatically regulated every second.

Moreover, cooked food, pillow, bed, etc., and other facilities are not necessary for human beings, while all these things are unnecessary for the rest of the creatures.

Now let's come to the movie under consideration, which started with twin brothers. One of them was successful i.e. Physically fit and the other was disabled.

This matter negates the success of worldly successful people even in the last place.

He is then given a new body with the old consciousness but in a digital way.

Now the symbol shown here is very amazing, a tomb-like machine in which after closing the eyes, he reaches a new world with a new body.

I have also heard some Islamic professors say about the grave that apparently what we see is the gate of other galaxies... Next we arrive at a low-gravity planet, which is shown to have a mild spring-like climate that doesn't even need fire for light.

The second thing is that whenever a bright light, i.e. Something like sun, falls on them, their eyes get scarred.

Now let's talk about the purpose for which they all went there, a black stone which is very precious, which according to me can be a symbol of the black chamber, according to the history of the world, it is the only stone that was brought from heaven to earth. Has gone I am not calling this planet a heaven at all but I think the author must have taken these things into consideration... Finally speaking of eva who is named Nature, all the inhabitants are connected to eva and worship her and she helps them... Then whoever the contestant is... it doesn't matter... I will definitely watch the above movie from this angle, because like this movie, I am looking forward to a new world as soon as I close my eyes.

    Thanks.

    Looks pretty
Paraplegic Marine Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) is sent on a mission to the moon of Pandora to infiltrate and spy on the native tribe, but ends up becoming fond of them.

Besides the beautiful graphics that director James Cameron presents us with, the story is already very repeated and, in this case, poorly delivered. At the end there is a deus ex machina moment in which the "little animals of the forest" come to the aid of the good ones. A film with some moral messages addressing themes such as predatory capitalism and ecology, it is a bit long (2h:30m, or 3 hours in the extended version), the dialogues could be better and so could the story. It deserves to be seen once, if only for the way it looks. Winner of 3 Oscars including, of course, Best Visual Effects.

    Favourite film
The film's use of groundbreaking special effects, including motion capture technology and 3D rendering, which allowed for the creation of highly detailed and realistic computer-generated characters and environments.

The film's unique setting of Pandora, a fictional extraterrestrial moon that is home to a variety of exotic and fantastical creatures.

The film's use of themes such as environmentalism, colonization, and cultural conflict, which added depth and nuance to the story.

Overall, Avatar is a visually stunning and thought-provoking science fiction film that has had a lasting impact on the genre.

You just get sucked into the world, it's amazing!
This, and maybe like a handful of other movies in my nearly three decades of existence, drew and pulled me away the wat the first Avatar movie did. And it's not just the CGI or SFX! The plot might be pretty straightforward, but it's given depth with the amazing cast, voice acting, timing/pacing (which, as a college editor lol, I can tell you is an extremely underrated skill and element in all movies), and the score.

The native tongue and various elements of the tribe seem so real in the moment, you forget it's all made up and just a take on actual Indigenous culture and struggles. It's those moments of realism, based on just the sheer ugliness of humanity and its hunger for power, that feels so seamlessly parallel to real world colonization and history.

If you think this movie is just a bunch of over-powered, basketball-player-sized Smurfs running around a green screen, you are horribly mistaken, my dude. You need to give this movie a try, especially if you're into Sci-Fi.

One of the greatest animated movies of all time
This movie, about a paraplegic Marine dispatched to the moon Pandora on a unique mission, is one of the greatest movies of all time!

As obvious for everyone, this CGI is better than any other movies' CGIs that are past its time. The body motions are close to one hundred percent perfect, the colors are beautiful, the details are incredible, and the lighting is so realistic! It feels like a dream. The facial expressions and the animals are just fantastic! The technical part is so good that I don't care about the small things that would usually negatively affect my watching experience. I just fully enjoyed this!

The story is both good and simple, but I think the inner story is what stands out in a good way here, which is (among others) to usually feel the hopelessness because you're getting told what you are unable to do in your everyday life, but then a sudden opportunity appears to eventually make you feel useful, no matter how disabled you are. I think it was smart of the production to create a character with paraplegics.

The universe is outstanding! It feels like a tropic alien nature with African-inspired culture with people who live in harmony with a communicating nature. I really admire the culture and its divinity, and I love the way the people are creating bonds with the nature. It seems so spiritual and peaceful. I think it's a beautiful lifestyle. The idea of how important a nature's balance is, is great, and it can really affect our minds environmentally.

The characters and the script are a little cliché, in a very American way, but that's ok! Jake Sully is obviously a very curious person who puts his fingers on dangerous things without considering the danger, especially when he touches the plants. I feel annoyed of that kind of action, but I have to admit that I am also very curious about this strange universe, so it's pleasant to watch Jake's exploring.

I loved the interaction between Jake and Neytiri. The scenes that affected me the most were when Jake's body was covered by pure spirits, when Jake and Neytiri interacted with the tree of voices, and when Neytiri saved Jake in his human body. Very emotional moments!

In addition, the music is also great because James Horner did a good job! The dream-like soundtracks are lovely parts of the movie!

To conclude, this movie is, and will be for a long time, a unique movie that represents a creative universe with a lot of exciting action and pure beauty!

Could have been a lot lot better
I won't say it's a total disappointment for me cuz you can clearly see the hard work behind each and every scenes from visuals to location. Music was good too.

I won't say the story is very old but the screenplay has so many holes and very elastic.

Technically it's a very strong movie with visually stunning location and in bright light and we won't complain about it but it's like the editor slept while editing the movie? Could have easily cut a lot of waste scenes but it's still there like we're seeing the live shooting.

Surprisingly many like the last one hour and they claim it's very fast and pacy but for me that's the worst part in the entire movie. It was kind of amateurish. Guns and explosions of enemies won't hit the target but arrows of avatars will? (James?)

When you think the movie feels good okay and they'll apply the brakes there and force you to rethink your thoughts. Sometimes you'll feel like "why are we sitting here"?

Editing is the main culprit in this movie and that department didn't do it's work and that ruined the entire movie

Plus screenplay needs a little twist and fun

Hope James will rectify it in Part 3 cuz this time I didn't go with reviews but next time I'll be very careful ^^

Avatar, to see or not to see?
When Avatar first came out in 2009, I wasn't as motivated as a moviegoer to see it.

Because I had noticed in the advertisement of the film that the major part of the film was made in Studio and using CGI technology.

Years passed and the news of making the second part and James Cameron's new inventions spread. This made me finally see the first part and I am satisfied with it. The visual effects used were really beautiful and stunning. The duration of the film was a bit long and the process The narration of the story was slow, but Cameron was able to fit his words in the text of the story to some extent, and I think we can hope for the continuation of the world of Avatar. Cameron and the Avatar sequels should be given a chance.

Visually stunning but the plot is Crap!
Loved the visuals, especially the underwater scenes as these were awesome in 3D (definitely see it in 3D for this alone) but hated the crappy 'Family' plot. I get that this is supposed to be a family friendly movie but it was a Vomitfest throughout! Zero engagement and Zero plot. It was so bad I'm doubtful I'll even bother with the remaining episodes of this franchise. I just can't face the nauseating Brat Family again for another Vomitfest session... It really was dire! Cameron seems to have thrown the plot to the wolves with this movie. Not recommended except to see the CGI visuals! I expected so much more but this? Just sad! Disappointing and sad!

A movie ahead of its time.
This movie definitely feels ahead of its time. If you're here to check if it's worth watching, then don't waste time, just go for it.

The story and direction is so perfect and the animations, visual effects and cinematography seems like impossible to make back in 2009 but don't know how they've made it possible.

Many movies produced in 2022 not have such good animation, visual effects, such good cinematography and most importantly the story.

I was in 9th class when this movie got released and after 3 years in 2011 I got to watch this movie and I got very impressed by it.

Today on 13-12-2022 I again watched "Avatar 2009" and this time I was able to relate to the characters in more depth, I was able to understand them more, I think this is because I have grown up, I can understand the pain, the efforts, I know the value of sacrifice, trust & loyalty.

Well from now on, after 3 days, its sequel "Avatar: The way of water" is releasing & I can't wait to go into theatre to watch it, I have already pre-booked the tickets.

This movie teaches you a lot of things, you should be good enough to understand them.
