funjum - 27 February 2023 Funny and Fun This is a fun movie and a super easy watch. It definitely gets better as it goes on and you get used to the humor. I didn't find myself laughing out loud until about thirty minutes into the movie but I'm glad I waited because there were definitely some good gags in there.
While the movie is pretty light, the plot can get kind of confusing. There's a lot you have to remember about the mystery they're trying to solve which isn't preferable for a movie like this where you just sort of want to turn your brain off and laugh. Still, this was a fun movie and a great watch with friends. I'd recommend Chips to anyone looking for something simple and fun to watch and laugh along with.
Mysterygeneration - 23 August 2022 Funny movie about police Dax Shepard plays Jon Baker, a loose-limbed former motocross competitor for the X-Games. Michael Pena's swaggering, ultra-macho Ponch captures our attention. Shepard offers his character too many problems, and they are resolved in jokes rather than important story moments. Pena's relaxed performance as Ponch, opposite Shepard's more outrageous persona, is at his best. Plot is heist-centered, but serves merely as setting for some sweet brotherly camaraderie.
cantstandya13 - 11 July 2022 sh#ts If the idea was to make a candidate for the absolute worst pile of garbage ever this is a glowing success. It's just a series of shoddily pasted together ad libs that aren't funny or remotely entertaining & just pure stupidity. And if you're wondering how or why I punished myself? Insomnia, sheer boredom and five goes at getting through this tripe.
