    Weird
Definitely not for everyone. I've got a lot of mixed feelings. Mostly negative.

    THE GOOD:

    • the plot was interesting and it made sense (unlike the original ending)
    • the visuals are STUNNING

    THE BAD:
    • Ultimately, almost nothing is explained about the lore, but at least we weren't promised or told that it would be so
    • I think that the message of the movie was okay until the very last scene

    THE UGLY:
    • anime was on some weird sexual stuff but this time it took off to a whole another gross level and its genuinely concerning

To conclude, I think that this movie is as overrated as the anime.

    Surreally Euphoric
I watched the film without having seen pretty much anything of the series or the other films.

However, despite barely understanding what the actual hell was going on, i was tremendously entertained.

I found myself in an enraptured state of dazed delight at the sheer audaciousnes of the spectacle, not entirely unlike a toddler at a fireworks display.

This is not to say that the experience was at all shallow or cheap, the dense plot and the copious use of christian imagery -as well as an event towards the beginning of what I can only tentatively finger as the final act- gives one more than plenty to ponder throughout the next couple of weeks.

Yeah I am quite certain that this movie will stay on my mind for quite some time, but I may be easily entertained by such things since I'm still trying to understand TeneT (2020), more than two years after having first seen it... The only point i can possibly deduct is due to the movies reliance on one having seen the series for the full effect.
